Having learned his lesson from the day before, Carlos took great care this time to concentrate on his performance, getting warmed up gently and thoroughly and not being distracted by what was going on around him. He realised that his next performance could and would change his life forever – and he had to succeed.

By the time it was his turn, his dancing and mental state were affected. He couldn’t attain the height he normally did and lost his balance. He couldn’t put emotion into his steps.
